The Byrne Brothers, an award-winning family band from Donegal, will bring their energetic style of contemporary folk and trad music to The Galway Bay on Thur May 15th.

Known for their lively performances, the band - Luca, Finn, and Dempsey, along with their father Tommy Byrne - has built a strong reputation both in Ireland and internationally, performing across 49 states in the US, and headlined at all the major Celtic festivals in the US including Milwaukee Irish Fest.

They are also one of the biggest Irish trad supergroups on social media, with over 150,000 followers, 50 million views, on their music videos and 18,500 monthly listeners on their Spotify Channel.

Their accolades include the Young Artist Academy Award from Hollywood, and being named Rising Stars of the Year by American Celtic Radio.

Their album, The Boys of Doorin, has been well received, with Celtic Radio praising their "enthusiasm, personality, and natural gift for music."

With a background in both music and Irish dance, the Byrne Brothers showcase a mix of traditional jigs and reels and original tunes driven by EDM kick stomp, bass drops and world class musicianship.

Each member brings their own flair to the group.

Luca, a Donegal champion accordionist and Ulster champion dancer, is also a photographer and a video director in Miami for Latin Grammy winning artists.

Finn, a multi-instrumentalist and composer. He is two-time Donegal champion on banjo and mandolin, a two-time Ulster champion Irish dancer and an award-winning author. Dempsey, the youngest, is a bodhrán player and singer who has performed with acts like We Banjo 3, Ronan Tynan and Clannad. Their father Tommy is a highly skilled musician with expertise in guitar, uilleann pipes, grade 1 bagpiper, fiddle, whistles, and vocals. He has also performed with The Chieftains and Michael Flatley on Broadway and directed Irish shows all over the world.
